Hand made book containing the journey of a nun from the end of her life as an old woman to a little girl. It goes back in time to show the progression or regression through her life. The goal was to use the hand done type and forms as a visual metaphor that follows the story line. The self-authored copy is neither a personal narrative or true story but prose with an inferred plot.
Inspired from being in Italy and doing research on nuns in the cloistered life. Also from illuminated manuscripts and visiting churches.
